The bubble tea craze has hit Malaysians and it has hit us hard. Within the first half of this year, we’ve seen countless of bubble tea shops open throughout Malaysia. The hype is here and it’s real! Tiger Sugar, Xing Fu Tang, Daboba…. the list just goes on and on. And let’s admit, we’ve all lined up (or at least attempted) to get our hands on at least a cup of these delectable drinks. However, we know that queuing is not for everybody (especially in our Malaysian weather) or some of us just simply don’t feel it’s worth the hype.

Pin Tea Malaysia 品茶

Pin Tea also offers other drinks like matcha latte and chocolate. Above all, what makes Pin Tea Malaysia 品茶 unique is their pinballs (a healthier substitute for standard tapioca pearls), which are made from seaweed extract – something worth a try!

Hailing from China, Cha Wan Jia 茶丸家 is well-known for their colourful boba offerings. You can try many unique pearl flavours here such as dragon fruit pearl, Sakura pearls, white pearls, and even rainbow pearls to add a pop of colour to your drink! Sip on refreshing drinks like passion fruit green tea with jelly, their signature pearl green tea, or go for something a bit heavier and try the rainbow pearl crème brulee oolong.

If you’re a fan of bubble tea, why don’t you get your hands dirty and make your own brew? QR Tea Lab as its name suggests is a lab-themed bubble tea shop that gives you an unconventional bubble tea experience.

Put on a lab coat and get to crafting your very own bubble tea drink! You can have your pick from their array of tea brews and ingredients that are quirkily placed in test tubes and petri dishes to really make you feel like you’re at work in a lab. What a great way to have some fun while treating yourself to some bubble tea.

Chun Yang Tea has brought their bubble tea blends to Malaysian waters. Their aim is to bring an authentic tea tasting experience with their menu of creative and interesting drinks. Try best selling items such as their brown sugar pearl with fresh milk, oolong tea with honey lemon, or if you’re feeling a bit adventurous and like a mixture of savoury and sweet flavours, opt for the cheese macchiato black tea instead.
