Urban Mix – Taste the world in a bowl.
And that was exactly what we did!
Urban Mix, located in the heart of Raffles Place, serves honest, affordable, and flavour packed food inspired by the different cuisines of the world.
We’re sure you’re familiar with the typical grain bowl concept, where you get to pick and choose various bases, proteins and toppings in a bowl.
While Urban Mix allows you to customise your own bowls in the same way, they also serve several pre-selected Signature ones which we tried!
The first bowl we had was the Viva Mexico Bowl!
This bowl came with Mexican Rice, BBQ Pulled Pork, Fajita Vegetables, Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Cheddar Cheese, Nacho Chips and Jalapenos.
Everything in this bowl was really flavourful and yummy! Perfect if you’re a fan of Mexican food too!
Our favourites in this bowl were the smooth, creamy guacamole, along with the crispy Nacho chips.
You can choose to mix everything up (something like a Bibimbap) which we eventually did, and everything went really well together.
The star of the bowl though, was the PULLED PORK.
They gave us a REALLY REALLY HUGE portion of pulled pork (YAY to generous servers!) and we were so happy digging into chunks of the well-marinated meat!
Now that we had tasted Mexico, we got another bowl called the Gangnam Style.
This Korean style bowl was made with Kimchi Fried Rice, Korean Pork Belly, Chargrilled Chicken Thigh, Kimchi and Beansprouts.
This bowl is PERFECT for Meat Lovers because of the huge portion of both Pork Belly and Chicken Thigh!
Again, you can choose to mix everything up in this grain bowl along with their special Korean Ssamjang sauce! If you decide to omit the sauce, the taste of the rice might be a little bland for some.
Another bowl we had was the Little Tokyo!
Little Tokyo came with Green Tea Cha Soba, Chargrilled Chicken Thigh, Pan seared Tofu, Crab Mayo Salad, Edamame, Furikake and Sweet Corn.
As the Tofu was pan-seared, it didn’t taste
Our favourite component of this dish was the Crab Mayo Salad!
The mayo added into the minced crab meat was just the right amount and didn’t come across as too
Finally, we decided to try customising our own bowl and chose healthier options after indulging the previous series of more flavourful ingredients.
We chose their Sous Vide Chicken Breast, Avocado, Cherry Tomatoes, Corn and Carrots!
The chicken breast was juicy and not too tough, and perfect for those who want a cleaner protein option!
If you’re just starting out on your health food journey and want to add some flavour to your bowls, Urban Mix has a huge range of sauces for you to select from!
Choices range from Soy Sesame to Korean Ssamjang to Smoky BBQ and more!
Of course, these bowls are for EVERYONE.

With so many protein, base and topping options, you will never get sick of Urban Mix!
In fact, they can probably cure your cravings for ANY type of cuisine that you are fancying at the moment! (Korean? Check. Japanese? Check. American? Check!)
