Hello Baby is a hipster vegan fast food kiosk in Chinatown serving up amazing vegan burgers, desserts and more!

There were many interesting items on their menu such as their Chili Crab “Mantou” sliders and the Beyond Burger, which came in 2 versionsAng Moh or Local.

We decided to try the “Ang Moh” Beyond Burger, which was made with plant-based burger patties from Famous US brand Beyond Meat, along with Vegan Cheese and Vegan Mayo.

We were totally surprised by how amazing a meatless burger could taste! If you’re skeptical about vegan food or hate vegetables, this burger will change your mind.

The patty really tasted like real, ground beef and had an amazing meaty texture! There are minimal differences between a typical meat burger and this Beyond Burger, therefore you will not feel like you’re eating something different (or rabbit food, as some would like to call it).

We also tried their Bacon & “Egg” Burger – Egg-free frittata, Vegan Mayo and Vegan Cheese Beetroot chips.

The bread was delightfully soft and all the ingredients went so well together. Once again, if you actually gave this burger to someone without telling them it’s vegan, they wouldn’t know the difference.

And yes, it was delicious!

If you’re not a huge fan of burgers, order their Young Jack Cubano – a piping hot sandwich made with young jackfruit slathered in hoisin sauce.

The texture of the jackfruit was exactly like chicken thigh and the sweetness of the hoisin sauce complemented the generous shreds of jackfruit. The portion for this sandwich was huge, we recommend ordering this to share and then getting some of their delicious sides and desserts!

We fell in love with their crispy, curly chili fries with vegan mayo and cheese, topped with minced Beyond Meat!

The sauce to fries ratio was perfect and we were all scrambling to get more fries, till the very last scrap!

For dessert, we had their Vegan Waffles with Coconut Ice Cream, Blueberries and sweet caraway maple syrup!

Unlike traditional pandan waffles, their version of waffles were airy and crisp.

We felt that the star of the show, however, was their handmade Coconut Ice Cream! It was super rich, creamy and smooth, ending our lunch perfectly.

You can opt to order that alone without the waffles if you’re too full to stomach any more carbs.

We highly recommend dropping by to try Hello Baby’s Vegan fast food! However, as there are only 2 counter seats available, it is likely that you have to takeaway and eat somewhere else.
