Chill vibes, awesome decor, great music and good food – Duxton 41 is the PERFECT place to relax with a book or for a chill session with some friends.

This cosy little hideout specialises in desserts, tea and wine. This makes it the perfect place for your afternoon tea or an after-dinner hangout.

Wait, did we say desserts?

Sorry, Duxton 41 doesn’t just serve desserts, they serve guilt-free desserts.

This means that you can get all that sinful, chocolate-y and cheese-y treats without the sin.

Think low fat, high protein and low carbs and YET they taste so great.

Don’t need to thank us for finding this gem in Duxton.

The first dessert we had was their Ultimate Fudge Cake ($8).

The cake was light and fluffy, layered with thick, rich chocolate cream and dusted with cocoa powder.

If we didn’t say it was guilt-free, you’d probably think it was a typical Chocolate Fudge cake. That’s how good it tasted.

So worth it and you don’t even need to worry about the calories.

Every bite was rich and creamy, leaving us wanting more.

We also loved that it didn’t taste overly sweet like most chocolate cakes do!

This is something special about all of Duxton 41’s cakes!

NO SUGAR IS ADDED.

Instead, Luo Han Guo is used as a substitute to give that natural sweetness for all their bakes, and that has ZERO CALORIES.

Yes, ZERO.

Just get 3 slices and still feel good about yourself.

The second dessert we had was their Soufflé Cheesecake Slice ($3.25).

This Cheesecake is LOW FAT and made with 3 simple ingredients – eggs, cottage cheese and corn starch!

Just look at those airy cake layers!

Each bite was soft and fluffy, just like a Japanese cheesecake.

We dare say it was a melt-in-your-mouth kind of texture.

The cake was not too cheese-y, which is perfect for those who avoid overly rich desserts.

This is a great light and yummy choice to end off a heavy dinner!

If you’re someone that doesn’t like plain, simple desserts and are a New York Cheesecake kind of fan, then this isn’t something you should order.

Next up, we had their Carrot Cake Loaf ($5) and this was one of our favourites (apart from that crazy amazing Chocolate Fudge Cake).

The loaf had generous amounts of walnuts and carrots, and we really loved that lightness of the cream cheese topping.

Most carrot cakes are overly sweet and jelak after a few bites, but this one was perfect.

While the loaf might look heavy and dense, it was surprisingly soft and fluffy!

Next, we had a slice of their Vegan Chocolate Brownie ($3.75).

While the word vegan might be a turn-off, this brownie is as good (or even better) then a normal brownie.

This brownie has a rich, chocolate-y and fudg-y centre and a crispy brownie crust!

This is definitely a MUST TRY for all brownie lovers (or chocolate lovers in general).

Finally, we had one of their new items – Vegan Lemon Tart.

This gorgeous looking tart was very refreshing – it was as if someone had poured cold, freshly squeezed lemon juice down our throats!

Again, the lemon filling was not too sweet compared to typical Lemon Curd desserts.

Definitely a must-have dessert for a hot sunny day!

The crust however, was a little too hard for our liking.

It isn’t like a typical crumbly, buttery crust (cause its vegan).

Instead, this tart was made out of flax seeds and almonds and had a slightly tough, chewy cookie-like texture. While the tart base gave a savoury balance to the lemon filling, we feel that most people would not be used to it.

In all, the desserts at Duxton 41 were great and definitely worth a trip down!

We would love to try their teas the next time (Ice Kachang Tea, Pandan Chiffon Tea and Blueberry White Chocolate?! YES PLEASE) and pair them with their delightful cakes!
